(Roughly in the order of appearance)

Veronica “Ronnie” Vega

Average height, extremely long and somewhat ratty brown hair, pretty features, high cheekbones, hazel eyes, very thin at first but gains her curves once she recovers from being starved. She’s in her early 20’s but with no memory she’s vulnerable to anyone trying to take advantage. She’s somewhat of a prankster and gets into crazy situations with her side-kicks. She has no memory of her time before escaping captivity and must learn to navigate the world of homelessness. She discovers her powers slowly and eventually comes face to face with her fated mate.

Jake

Ronnie’s first friend after she escapes. He’s a short but highly athletic 16 year old who’s been on the streets of San Diego long enough to have created a safe space for himself. He teaches Ronnie parkour and how to survive the life of a homeless person. They become inseparable.

Uriel

Ronnie’s Angel that shows up to help but isn’t always the easiest person to understand. He has a agenda and keeps it to himself quite often.

Roland

The only surviving member of the original Paladin Order. He offers to help Ronnie and Jake but he also has his own agenda. He’s on the shorter side, completely bald, and has a long beard.

Missy & JJ

Ronnie’s two best friends and fellow captives. They were all in school together when they were taken. Ronnie must put her own life at risk in order for her friends to survive.

Caleb

Tall, rail thin after being rescued, but once he regains his strength he’s very athletic. He’s very attractive with turquoise eyes and sable brown hair. When Ronnie discovers the two of them are mates she is very reluctant to accept the bond.

Ben

The dark, curly haired, athletic best friend and brother to Caleb. He is also Ronnie’s nemesis and he lives to make her life miserable. Caleb is stuck in the middle. Ronnie and Ben refuse to get along and it creates stress on the mate bond between Ronnie and Caleb.

Old Ones
